Sounds of Robert Johnson

Sounds of Robert Johnson is a tribute to the influential bluesman by artists Kent DuChaine, Adrian Byron Burns, Buick 6, Geoff Acheson, Jimmy Dawkins, Freddie Hughes, Deacon Jones and Rudy Rotta, all recorded in concert by Blues Archive in the 1990's.

Adrian Byron Burns - Originally from Washington D.C he was one of the new-wave of African-American acoustic blues artists in the 1990's drawing on a wide range of musical influences through jazz, soul, funk and blues. 

Buick 6 - British band Buick 6 play traditional country blues songs worked up with the dynamic slide guitar of Roger Hubbard. 

Geoff Acheson - Geoff is a blues-roots singer-songwriter from Australia best known for his exciting and breath-taking guitar playing. 

Jimmy Dawkins - Jimmy Dawkins was an important American electric blues guitarist and singer generally considered to have been one of the founders of the "West Side sound" of Chicago Blues.

Freddie Hughes - R&B singer-songwriter Freddie Hughes from Oakland California was primarily known for his 1963 single Bring My Baby Back.

Deacon Jones - Deacon Jones was an accomplished blues artist and a widely acknowledged master of the Hammond B3 organ. He served as band leader for blues legends such as John Lee Hooker, Freddie King and Curtis Mayfield. 

Rudy Rotta - Rudy was an Italian blues guitarist and singer who was passionate about the blues bringing it to an enthusiastic European audience.
